In parallel with her studio practice, Denise is active in design education and discourse. She teaches, gives talks, and leads workshops internationally, mentoring emerging designers in conceptual development and critical design thinking. She also regularly serves as a jury member, including most recently for the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes selection process in Design and Visual Communication, contributing to academic and professional evaluations. Her pedagogical work is informed by a research-driven approach that positions design as a tool for communication, knowledge transfer, and social transformation, informed by a cross-cultural perspective.
Denise teaches across lectures, courses, workshops, and Bachelor thesis supervision at institutions including Berlin International University of Applied Sciences, Technische Hochschule Wildau, SUPSI Mendrisio, the Estonian Academy of Arts/the Stand in School for Graphic Design Berlin, and the Goethe-Institut Kampala. Her work in design education emphasizes critical thinking, research-driven processes, and an understanding of design as a cultural and social practice across diverse cultural contexts.
